5th August 1975 - Drummer Sandy West and guitarist Joan Jett formed the first ever all female heavy rock band after being introduced by producer Kim Fowley. The Runaways released four studio albums, including "The Runaways", "Queens of Noise" and "Waiting for the Night." #Runaways #LitaFord

Neil Armstrong tired of people asking him what it was like to walk on the moon. And so, when people asked him, he would tell a really rubbish joke about the moon, and when people were dismayed at the joke, he'd say... well, I guess you had to be there.

Born 5th August 1930, astronaut and aeronautical engineer Neil Armstrong. As commander of Apollo 11, Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon. He was also a naval aviator, test pilot and university professor. He died in 2012, aged 82. #NeilArmstrong
