Everyone at #GenCon is taking shelter due to a tornado warning. Massive rains falling on the roof. I'm in a closet with a bunch of wonderful people from the Writers Symposium.

I couldn't be prouder to have my first published short story be in GigaNotoSaurus! I found some of my favorite SFF authors through GNS, and it's a huge honor to have my work among theirs. Super grateful to editor @tbonejenkins.bsky.social and the GNS team!
New story up at GNS: It took Corey Liao seven days to wrench herself free from her body. And with the help of three wu, she has seven more to avenge her own murder. Read “Four Sparrows” by Angela Hsieh @hisiheyah.bsky.social giganotosaurus.org/2026/08/01/four-sparrows

Anyone in downtown Indianapolis need a parking space for this afternoon? I accidentally booked a garage date for today from 12:30pm to 3:30pm at a Market Square garage and of course the garage won't let me cancel. Indianapolis peeps who want it, DM me.
My novelette "The Portishead Tunnel", now live on GigaNotoSaurus, thank you to @tbonejenkins.bsky.social and @giganotosaurus.bsky.social giganotosaurus.org/2026/07/01/t...

Happy Mother's Day!
The Sunday Morning Transport scents a change in the air with a story from LaShawn Wanak (@tbonejenkins.bsky.social) that brings us to a place you may or may not have visited - the omegaverse. Read a sample or subscribe for the whole thing!
If you know me well, you know I've always had complicated feelings about Mother's Day. So the fact that my omegaverse x megachurch story, "Alpha and Omega" is being published on Mother's Day... This makes me SO HAPPY. www.sundaymorningtransport.com/p/alpha-and-...

I’ve been pretty quiet as of late and here’s one of the reasons why! I am delighted to announce that I am one of the curators for Lab^4, an initiative that curates ArtLitLab’s event calendar this Spring/Early Summer. We got some fantastic events coming up in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

We are thrilled to announce the next series of LAB^4 programming, which is a special initiative that turns arts and events programming over to community members. Above all, the project seeks to shift the role of curators from gatekeepers to their original definition as caretakers. Team 3 is comprised of 5 Madison area artists and teachers, as well as two-high school-aged artists.Their series of solo arts exhibitions, community events, and literary readings centered around healing, restoration, and collective resilience. 📅 Programming runs April 28-June 20.➡️ Explore events at ArtLitLab.org/Lab4This project was made possible by The Ruth Foundation for the Arts.View all comments

It’s been a while since I’ve mused on the nature of reading and writing. Honestly, I was just going to journal this on my own and leave it at that. But then I realized I could make it a blog post. Remember those? I used to do it all the time. Then microblogging took over with Facebook and Twitter. Now? I’m not really doing those anymore.

I'm writing this short story in third person omni-POV. Like, intentionally. It's like going against a hard current that's screaming, "Don't headhop! Stick to only one POV!" See, this is deconstruction. First you questioning if there's a God, next you're disregarding writing conventions. Craaaaazy.
We're back, and we got a new story up!
New story up at GNS: A sly fox proposes marriage to the King, promising to keep his deepest secret in return. Surprising everyone, even himself, the King accepts. Read “A Good King” by Sarah McGill giganotosaurus.org/2025/10/01/a-good-king/
My latest newsletter is now out. This was a hard one, but also very important.
September 2025 Writing Update
This is the hardest newsletter I've ever written. I've been putting it off for the longest time, but many on this newsletter are not on social media, so they don’t know what happened over the summer. I’ll keep this brief. My dad in 2005 In May, my father, Raymond Taylor, was admitted to the hospital with what we learned later was terminal stomach cancer.
