I am this old now. I went out to dinner in socks and sandals and ordered meatloaf and was excited when they told me I could try their pickle buffet(!?) I like this for me.

Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”

This is truly heartbreaking. Dolly Parton was an extraordinary person and an irreplaceable champion of the working class. We are a better country because of her.
