Right? If he wants that dreck published, the First Amendment allows him use of a pen & blank paper. Show people a hole to put themselves in & make kinder, healthier thoughts, but otherwise if they need to speak, the FA allows them shitty self-made newsletters like bigots used to be able to only make

70 years on this earth, coming out as a gay man in 2011 while writing for the *boston herald*, and your takeaway on the actively genocidal project against trans women is "this discourse is exhausting." have you absolutely no shame. fuck all the way off. and fuck the editor that approved it.

Almost like xenophobic policies undermine national health systems that are reliant on immigrant labor: "The latest report showed that, in 2025-26, the register grew by 1.7% (14,228 professionals) – half the rate seen in the previous year, when it grew by 3.3% (27,289 professionals)."

correct they view words as a tool to be applied as necessary to achieve their end goal (power and money) and good faith does not register as a real concept to them, which is why you see them pivot in lockstep to the new party line and why they seem so confused by genuine showings of principle

More generally, there are no good-faith conservative arguments at all. Zero. None. They are never well-meaning but misguided, they are never bringing up legitimate concerns, they are never Just Asking Questions.

Human rights lawyer Wu Shaoping barely escaped arrest in his native China in 2019. The anti-communist Christian convert applied for asylum, made it to Pa. - doing it all the right way But in Trump's wretched America, the gulag is one traffic stop away My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/wu-s...

Wu Shaoping escaped China’s repression, only to get busted by ICE in Pa. | Will Bunch

The U.S. reputation as safe haven for the world's dissidents takes another hit with Pa. arrest of Chinese human rights lawyer.

This was the point all along. To insist that everyone fits neatly into a pink or blue box, so that it's easier to justify treating the whole pink box as less deserving of rights and opportunities and dignities than the blue.

My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

🏛️CONFLICTING OPINIONS: Four Republican-led states must be allowed to use a federal database to search for noncitizens on their voter registration rolls, a federal judge in Florida ruled. But a previous ruling by a federal judge in D.C. blocked access to the database. Here's what could happen next:

Florida judge lets Republican-led states use DHS citizenship database for voter purges, contradicting D.C. judge’s order

"This Court is not bound by Judge Sooknanan’s order, and with all due respect, the Court disagrees with the conclusions in that order," Judge Wetherwell wrote.

Agreed. The GC “movement” succeeded based on two distinct factors: direct access to power and obscene amounts of wealth, and a willingness to partner with their ostensible opposition while pretending to be progressive. But they themselves were useful to powerful interests, not the other way around.

Fundamentally I just think an analysis which is load-bearing on the idea that 'niche online micro-communities' were the origin point or even the primary vector for organising & proliferating this idea .. doesn't stand up to much thought on the facts. The media itself isn't grassroots, but my god.

I love this country. It's got a lot of problems, but it's my home and I want it to be good and I think it could be good. I love my country and I want to celebrate our 250th Independence Day too And all day--ALL DAY--the administration has made it clear that they don't consider me a real American

The nyt record of bias and its cancerous effect on public discourse needs to be widely known. The nyt leaders continue to prey on unsuspecting readers who understandably know little about trans ppl but count on honest brokers in media The nyt is not an honest broker. Cite these stories as evidence

i don't want to be valid. i don't want to be tolerated. i want my sisters to be loved. to belong. to survive adolescence. i want to live a fulfilling life without wondering if i have the legal right to do so.

Guaranteed: 1) Black girls will be harassed and demanded to be tested over and over again regardless of how competitive they are. 2) Winners from public schools will be relentlessly hounded by the parents and coaches of losers at private schools, with the goal of making them quit the sport.

The ban is heinous for what it does to transgender athletes. But if you think cisgender girls and young women won’t be caught up in the fallout, too, you are woefully ignorant

There's no sugar-coating Slaughter. It's an enormously important ruling (far more important than the other three decisions #SCOTUS handed down today). It's a huge win for Trump/the executive. And it's going to have massive ramifications for the functioning of the government long after Trump is gone.

The long term issue is that this Supreme Court is effectively eliminating civil service reforms that eliminated the spoils system that promoted widespread corruption and graft. The federal government cannot function effectively if every single political appointee switches out every 4 years.

SCOTUS upholding the firing of the FTC commissioner but not the Federal Reserve board member is such a blatant reveal of how this Supreme Court sides with the interests of capital over consistent jurisprudence and precedent.

John Roberts' Constitution forbids any attempt to proactively ameliorate racial discrimination and racial inequality, but permits open racial discrimination as long as there is a facially neutral explanation available, even if it isn't remotely plausible. This, my friends, is "Colorblindness."

do cis people understand how utterly fucking INSANE it is that they’re attacking trans healthcare now using the FTC?
