a review written by my friend rune of my new release, "spoken in the soft bokeh of whispers", which reads as follows:

I've gushed about how our dear friend, the medic's music has been with me through deeply emotional and intensely creative moments in my life. It has a way of seeping deep into me and bringing me into a sort of wordless, transcendental state of feeling, like it opens pathways to the most vulnerable and honest parts of myself. Her latest album "spoken in the soft bokeh of whispers" is no different in all those regards, yet it does it in a new way. This one feels warmer, brighter, dare I say happier. While all her work is certainly influenced by video games in some way, this new album is most directly pulling from the digital worlds that have touched her most. She's also taken some new technical approaches to how she put this album together, and it's very clear how much she cares about her craft. In all I've heard and seen over the last few years I've known her, I've been struck by how she finds beauty in gentle things and sits with it thoughtfully and slowly and tenderly. Her music never fails to instill this same feeling in me.

my latest record, "spoken in the soft bokeh of whispers", is now available for #bandcampfriday - a dreamily bitcrushed virtual love letter to a time where tech still promised a hopeful future, and a desire to keep that optimism alive 💗 ourdearfriendthemedic.bandcamp.com/album/spoken...

being in residency while the entire world gets enshittified, i feel like US soldiers must have felt when listening to hanoi hannah's broadcasts in vietnam
