Sooooo almost just got hit by an ebiker going a billion mph down 6th Ave. Truly could have died. It’s such a conundrum— they shouldn’t be in traffic with cars because it’s dangerous for them but being with regular bikes and peds is dangerous for us. Are protected e-bike lanes a thing???
In a less deranged version of our country, skies full of smoke would inspire us to bold climate action. There’s an American majority that loves blue skies & air we can breathe more than fossil fuel profits.
Soooo NYC how are we getting the littles who can’t mask to daycare this morning? Just pushing the stroller as fast as possible? Trying to mask them for the short walk? (Keeping our toddler home isn’t an option today)
Today is Wednesday, July 15 Good lunchtime❤️ eat take your meds hydrate tell your people you love them let them love you back (& if you're going to watch the game, eat your Wheaties!) We are here. This is real. Let's build a home for each other & fight like hell. All you fascists bound to lose✊
Hey so I just realized I have almost 250 subscribers to my blog which is not a lot but is also not not a lot and I'd love to cross the threshold! If you like to read occasional longer-form things from me, you can subscribe here! morethanfourquestions.beehiiv.com

Abolishing ICE is not a radical stance. It’s a basic public safety intervention. If we want to stop gun violence — and I sure do — we have to abolish ICE.
This is tomorrow night in Fort Greene. I promise you'll have a good time! Also, this book is brimming with media tea lol
Hey NYC! I'll be in conversation with @sjjphd.bsky.social Tuesday at Greenlight bookstore about her brilliant new book, A SECOND SIGHT. Come say hi!
A thing I think about sometimes as an IVF mom is that for months my doctors prescribed and suppressed various hormones (including estrogen) so that my body could support what I wanted (a baby). Nobody thinks that kind of hormone therapy is wrong. But if I needed estrogen because I was trans....
"My grandfather was Jewish, but members of his family have long chosen cremation over burial.... I didn’t know how I felt about that. I just knew that it mattered to him."

The USMNT and Knicks being really good except for the precise moment when Trump involves himself is really funny
This is what I needed headed into 7/4. Maybe you too?
I wrote an essay for the nation's 250th, refusing, first of all, any definition that we are all one thing or another. Mamdani, Good, Pretty, Bad Bunny, and Liu have star turns further on in the piece.
In case you need a reading for this Shabbat. Y'know.

So many of us have worked so hard for months (since the beginning of the transition) with @mayor.nyc.gov to make this happen! Starting with a $15 million investment in life saving gender-affirming care for trans youth 🏳️⚧️ www.nyc.gov/mayors-offic...

Ok NYC! My partner has Fridays off for a chunk of the summer and wants to explore more neighborhoods in our wonderful city. So would love to know: 1) what are neighborhoods he should check out? 2) what are shops/cafes/parks/streets he should go to there? 3) what are the hidden gems? Thanks all!!
I've written before about how one issue with anti-Zionist activism is that it's easy to slip into antisemitic rhetoric if you're not vigilant. Sometimes our friends screw up and aren't as vigilant as usual. That doesn't make them not our friends. It just means needing to call them back in.
hey real quick why couldn't brad lander have been a guard in a concentration camp. aside from the timing. what one big factor might have held him back
what the fuck
Safety. In. Solidarity. It’s the @jfrejnyc.bsky.social way. It’s the @bradlander.bsky.social way. It’s the only way if we want to make it through with our lives and our morals intact. I’m so hopeful tonight. Mazal tov Brad!!!
“I will be one of the Jewish members of Congress most willing to stand up for Palestinian human rights. And I will stand firmly against bigotry aimed at Jews. Those are not two different jobs. They are the same job,” Brad Lander said.
Def just tried to canvas my PT who told me he didn’t have a voting plan. Which reminds me: NYC, please vote! These races are really important and early voter turnout was low and it’s raining which doesn’t bode well for today. My fave voter guide: share.google/vek7rJlj2XKQ...

So when I canvassed for @bradlander.bsky.social on Sunday I met a woman in her 80s who's lived in her home for almost 50 years. Her union endorsed Goldman. But she decided to vote for Brad. Why? Because, in her words, "I like Brad. Brad's been around a long time." She's right. -->
Democrats should be doing EVERYTHING in their power right now to protect people from Trump’s attacks. In NY State, that means taxing the rich to protect healthcare, and passing NY4All to protect immigrants. @governor.ny.gov refused to do either. We need to elect legislators who will force her to.
This is what Jewish & Muslim solidarity looks like. Neighbors coming together around a vision of shared safety, dignity & peace. In NYC. In DC. In Israel & Palestine, and across the world.
The Knicks only lost one game in the last two months and it was the one Trump went to lmao
I’m guessing from the screams and the fireworks that we have won sportball? I 🧡💙NY!!!!!!
my mayor's muslim my bagel's jewish i don't understand how time works in the 4th quarter against all odds i'm a knicks supporter
I'm lucky to call Aziz Abu Sarah an old friend, and I was grateful to meet Maoz Inon this year. So many of my Palestinian and Israeli friends come to their activism for justice via profound loss, as do I. I'm truly thrilled that our mayor met them.
Some people are going to call the mayor an antisemite for this meeting, while others will call him a liberal sellout. Meanwhile, I call it being a decent person. www.haaretz.com/us-news/2026...
Trump announces "maybe I'll seize the capital of the US if voters displease me" and it'll be nothing more than a blip on the news at best
Q: Here in Washington DC, there's a Democratic primary for mayor. One of the two leading candidates is running a Zohran Mamdani campaign focusing on socialist policies. How would you feel if she wins? TRUMP: Maybe we take back Washington and run it on a federal basis. We won't put up with it.
