Movie recommendation for tonight, City on Fire Ringo Lam's classic 80s Hong Kong thriller starring Chow Yun Fat, it's incredible. I think it's one movie that everyone should watch at least once, an essential for the mood and vibe of Hong Kong in the 80s.

On both Twitter and Bluesky I make a point of indiscriminately following basically everyone in Ireland as I come across them, no filtering for politics. More recently on Twitter I'm finding my Eire feed tilts very far to the right. Really does show that basically everyone's abandoned the site.

Just finished @gavreilly.com's Life of Leinster House book - it was great! It got me curious about the institutional knowledge of FG/FF as they seem to be the parties with longest continuous/regular ministry positions - only a few other parties have interfaced w civil service from positions of govt.
