My colleagues that I disliked didn’t enable a regime that murdered millions of people and actively work to strip the rights and humanity of me and my fellow Americans. I’m fucking allowed to hold *my elected representatives* accountable for buddying up to ghouls.
My hot take is that Lindsey Graham did many contemptible things but if you’re furious that his Senate Democratic colleagues are posting nice things about him today you need to put down your phone, get some fresh air, and remember a time when a colleague you disliked departed this mortal coil.
It always strikes me as weird that you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but our libel laws are structured in such a way that you can't speak honestly about people until after they have passed. Also, it's good to be reminded to live your life so that people will not celebrate your passing.
