Finally got to watch The Vourdalak tonight! If you're in the UK, it's currently available to watch for free (with ads) on Channel 4 for the next 5 days and I thoroughly recommend it! If you love vampires it's a must see!

I don't think we tell people often enough what they mean to us, perhaps because we are simply caught up in everyday life or maybe for fear of being misinterpreted and making someone uncomfortable. Valid concerns, but also life is short and vulnerability can often catalyze greater connection.

Thank you to my friend who pointed out that the guy on the cover is holding the sword upside-fucking-down! Not in an "ooh, look! I can grab a blade and not flinch" kinda way, but in a "I have never seen a sword before in my life and this is my 1st time interacting with one" kinda way...

Any ADHD folks ever feel like you're mid-hyperfixation, then another hyperfixation tries to crash through the wall like the kool-aid man, but you become frustrated because you hadn't finished with the 1st hyperfixation yet & so it's somehow unsatisfying??? ...Maybe this is too hyperspecific... 😅

So hyped Iron Lung is now available on YT (in some countries) & 2nd watch was still fantastic! It was great to watch with subtitles (my APD makes it hard to follow distorted audio) & be able to go "ooh, I think i just caught a glimpse of something, let's go back!" Still love it! Would recommend!

One thing I think we (especially cis people, especially those of us who are comfortable handling ourselves physically) can do in the here and now is make sure that the social cost for toilet policing is *incredibly* high. Don't just step in. Humilate the person doing it as much as possible.
