Kristin Hersh - Philharmonic Hall Music Room, Liverpool An intimate gig - stripped-back with the odd reminiscence of family life - told in her ever charming way. She only played for 75 minutes and then was gone - but with an attentive audience - no chatting at this one! And she played Your Ghost 😁

Hard to photograph, but here's a shopping bag for Learn to Sing Like a Star by Kristin Hersh - I can't guess where I shopped that this was the bag. I was living in Portland OR at the time this record came out, and I think KH was living there at the same time - I saw her SO much that year.

a shiny black shopping bag with the large KH logo on it, and it reads Kristin Hersh Learn to sing like a star

In 2002, the Exile Follies toured - it was Kristin Hersh, John Doe, and Grant Lee Phillips (who for some reason got totally shafted on the ticket stub). They played separate sets and collaborative sets and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. $15! God, I miss Maxwells.
