People can say what they want about Fur Affinity, but AI is fuckin' BANNED there, and that's awesome. It's so EXHAUSTING seeing shit AI work on every. single. art. platform. Thankfully, it's mostly frowned upon here, too.

When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.

"Game dev is one of those jobs you only do when you really want to. It's not going to make your parents proud, you're unlikely to get rich in an industry that lays off people for making superhits, and its a demanding & confrontative job. Why would you let a machine do the thing you're here to do?"

I spent the last few months talking to over 30 game developers about generative AI. It began as a sort of interview survey but became a pretty comprehensive collection of arguments against the technology altogether. www.gamesradar.com/games/why-so...

Saw a post earlier today saying it was weird that we all feel the need to riff on a handful of weird things every day like that lady doing the cheeto video but I view it the opposite way where every day all posters get our assigned Iron Chef set up and bring forward our special dishes to the judges

using AI at any stage of game development is loser shit but the excuse of "oh we only used it during the concept art stage" is always insane to me. concept art is literally the fun part. you asked the robot to do the fun part for you. do you also need the robot to eat dessert for you

after reading a bit about the state of college in the era of LLMs my honest reaction is what's even the point of college anymore. this isn't me saying LLMs are epic and replacing the need for college. but it sounds like it's just a place where you go to and play pretend now.
