One of my Crank Theories of Everything, at least of Everything in the Recent Past, is that we are dealing (badly) with COVID trauma we’d mostly prefer to pretend never happened.

The fact is Sophie Cunningham hates her coworkers, many of whom are queer Black women, some of whom have been subject to organized transphobic attacks in the past. She’s endangering them because she wants to. And she made a bet that due to their identities, nobody in sports media would defend them.
