A lot of people have used the argument that AI is here to stay so I should accept it as a tool in my life. If you accept destruction in the world because it is already here don’t be surprised when you face the consequences of that destruction.

No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

And if you're an artist, you have the right to ask for a no AI Training clause in your contract. And if you're a writer, you can ask to have a provision added in that no AI art will be used in the creation of your story. We will NEVER use AI for Art or for writing.

CONTRACTS. That’s my post for today. If you’re an indie creator/ self-publisher and you aren’t using contracts with everyone you work with, PLEASE start now. This will save friendships, establish chain of title and if things go well, let you work with larger distributors down the line.

I actually think the trillionaire saying his AI tool will remake a movie without the Black and trans actors in it should be a bigger story because it’s a perfect example of why the ruling class wants AI to succeed: so they can remake reality without those they deem undesirable - every nazi’s dream.
