Fair enough, but the non-partisan polls of the races also did very poorly: - Emerson: El-Sayed +16 - Tavern: AES +10 - Glengariff: Stevens +7 - Mitchell: AES +14 Looks less like partisan pollsters rigging their data and more like a combination of late movement and biased samples across the board

Whoever ends up winning the Democratic nomination for Senate in Michigan, I hope with little expectation that those who took seriously polls showing a rout for El-Sayed will think twice about relying on questionable and/or partisan polls.

Glad she is being gracious about this. I don't care what your concerns are with DSA (I share those, BTW) you need to drop all that and keep your eye firmly fixed on flipping the Senate in November, work tirelessly for every Democrat on the ballot. That goes for DSAs voting for centrist Dems, too.

Still unclear who'll win, but reminding me and all of us: Put the Blue in Bluesky. Don't yell about groups you don't like. Actual live people who post/behave badly, sure. 99% of us are not 1-dimensional and we're all worried. Give some grace. Reach out. Engage. Or scroll on, let go.

Looks like the Ds of MI will choose AES. If Schumer et al don’t get behind him, they are dangerously underestimating the threat we face. A Blue Senate is the only goal right now. Fight about the direction of the party after you win, not before. Same would be true for DSA if Stevens won.

Standards for any outlet's reporting on this: --Shouldn't get more prominent coverage than Susan Collins vote FOR, say, Kristi Noem --Should note high up she waited till Cornyn/Tillis came out in favor to say she's a 'no' --Should note she's voted for nearly every Trump 2.0 nominee #MEpolitics

Susan comes out against Todd Blanche now that he's got the votes. So tiresome. (We called it: tinyurl.com/3bepafkz) #MEpolitics

Many folks hollering at "the left" miss this entirely. Progressives at least have the guts, usually, to tell you actual policy. But the real point is establishment Democrats are in a neo-lib moneyed GOP lite cocoon of their own making and as a result, rarely use the powers they do have.

"Most of this rebellion within the Democratic Party is not really about ideology, if we define that as support for different policies on a conventional left-right spectrum. It's about fight," Josh Marshall writes.

Women, people of color, and LGTBQ members should stop enlisting. Let all those brave white men who complain those mentioned above are replacing them assume their rightful places on the front lines of battle.

After Musk's deal getting Spacex funds and then rigging midterms, an oldie but goodie from @theintercept.com tells WHY Dems didn't speak out or block this latest taxpayer giveaway. The headlines write themselves. Congressional Dems in 2026 rely on anti-Trxmp vibes for Nov, rather than take on Musk.

When I scream at the elected Democratic reps to "Do Something", this is what I mean Some of you are promoting the falsehood that "the Dem reps hands are tied" That is a lie Stop aiding the Coup And elected Democrats - DO SOMETHING #StopTheCoup

Article from The Intercept

Headline and intro text:

This Is the Way to Stop Elon Musk

Senate Democrats have the power to block federal contracts to Tesla and SpaceX. It’s the path to pushing Musk out of politics.

Of these, ETFs scare me most. They use a mutual fund structure designed to prevent over-leveraging. In 2008, Reserve Funds caused bigger crisis--these "safe" "like cash!" "but not FDIC insured" funds held <2% of assets in Lehman. Doesn't take much instability to trigger panic when using debt.

Gambling sites, prediction "markets", 0DTE options, levered ETFs... How long can this customer base be milked before actual investors figure out that's not a long-term growth business?

Amazon may be the most storied tech giant when it comes to spend. Third rate furniture at HQ, penny pinching firm-wide and the warehouse and delivery workers situation. Bezos off in his rocket ship may not care anymore.
