Decades ago I grew up using Corel WordPerfect, because my dad bought it to support Canadian businesses. I still use WordPerfect today, to much mockery, but it is not loaded down with AI bullshit, I *own* it (not rent it), and it does not do bullshit like this.

again, if i had a calculator that gave me the wrong answer one (1) time, i would throw it out and never use it again and could probably bankrupt the company by simply telling people what happened

I can’t get over how trapped in intellectual and emotional adolescence these people are. Not only is this idea unoriginal, it’s an idea of most people have and grapple with at 13. Time was, these guys wallowed in “late night freshman dorm BS session” philosophizing. They appear to be regressing.

Watching last night's Gotham game (as I am an ancient old man, I can't stay up for west coast games). Let me tell you. As somebody who's spent many years seething against Chelsea, it hurts my brain now suddenly cheering for a team with Kerr on it.
We've had fun with this, but it reveals the key to the reactionary worldview: the poor are the real elite, a class of people living a luxurious life of free everything. In that light, the bus isn't for people who can't afford a car; it's for people getting special treatment so they don't need one.
