The Nats booth did a whole little run about how it’s misguided for the fans to blame the owners for not doing anything to build a good team, because you have to understand they’re just waiting until the time is right.
“My hierarchy of needs (Phillies edition), where a starting pitcher is water, a left-handed middle reliever is love and belonging, and a great right fielder is self-actualization, was based on a couple of things.“ New: The best worst idea the Phillies ever had buttondown.com/baseball-rom...

Maybe the answer is just that I’m old and this is not for me, but why would I want to pay to subscribe to the exclusive streaming platform of one of the world’s largest media conglomerates to watch short form videos by amateurs I could just as easily watch on social media for free?
Disney and TikTok have announced a new partnership that will bring select Disney fan-made TikTok videos to Disney+. As part of the initiative, creators who opt in will receive access to official Disney assets, with their videos featured on both TikTok and Disney+.

Breslow is not a perfect GM but it’s actually jarring to hear him give quotes about figuring out that his job is to make his team better and not to win trades or stock pile prospects for better days and then go out and make non stop moves until the team is one of the best in the AL

That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Wait until you hear about public schools and people without kids.

It'd be really great if the prominent MLB writers/analysts would leave X and post directly to Bluesky.
Please, #RedSox, do not overpay for Rutschman. This is not 2022/2023.
Rutschman has been pretty much been a failure from what he was expected to be. Most of his "bounce back" this season is from a 30 PA stretch in late April. Interesting to say the least. Paying a premium in the division is scary if this is where it's heading.

Living on the east coast and having your favorite sports team play on the west coast for a week really stinks. But! It’s very enjoyable to fall asleep to the radio broadcasts of those west coast games. Too bad it’s no longer Joe Castiglione calling those games… #RedSox

I know #RedSox fans are frustrated about Mead's injury happening right after the trade (which, yeah, it sucks), but thank goodness it was a week before the trade deadline instead of a week after. Sure, teams may ask for a ton because they know Boston's desperate, but at least there are options.
Bummed to see Early traded, but I think the #RedSox may have sold him at the right time. I’m blacked out of Nats games, so I know zero about Mead. Seems like a decent trade for both teams and I’m cautiously optimistic.

LeBron James to Philadelphia?! That is some bonkers news right there. (Note: I do not follow the NBA, nor do I know how good the 76ers are, though I do know Joel Embiid is very good and often injured. It just seems like an out of left field choice. No hate to Philadelphia or the 76ers.)
