Happy birthday, Devil May Cry! Released in Japan 25 years ago today. I played the OG PS2 version through for the first time just last year and yeah, had a great time with it. From what I've read, started off in development as Resi 4 and then was made its own game as it was just too different.
When people say they’re anti-AI, they’re clearly talking about generative AI in the arts and LLM slop that C-Suite jackoffs want to use to replace them. You know this. I know this. Everyone knows this. So the “then don’t use spellcheck if you hate AI” talking point is disingenuous horseshit.
There it is. While you struggle to afford groceries, or find any that are edible, and pay thousands more every year in gas, rent, utilities, childcare, and healthcare, they are laughing all the way to the bank. 
Maybe you think you are invulnerable to this (you are not), but the people who stay in Twitter because you are still sharing there are definitely being dragged to the right. I have so many mutuals who are still posting regularly there, and it's so disheartening to see. Please stop.

Love working on games, but I've learned in recent years that the excitement of working on a cool game is fleeting. A safety net, time to rest and not overwork, and money for building a life and retiring are more important. The talent will vanish if the industry does not stop underpaying freelancers.

"AI" is a brand that is being actively marketed to us, shoved in existing apps, forced into use at work. So of course people use the term AI to complain about it. Nobody is talking about ML in science and research. When you "well actually" this, you're just being a useful idiot to billionaires.

Very Smart Person: ah but have you considered (distinct application of ML or statistical modeling that has no real relationship to what the tech industry is marketing as, and people broadly perceive as, "AI")
