this isn't very popular to say, but for me personally, it was good that i had unrestricted internet access when i was a minor. i was aware of what i was doing and enjoyed it. i don't look back on it and go "well that was a mistake", i look back on it and wish i could do it for the first time again

I recently replaced my grandparents' 2nd generation Nest thermostat because Google dropped support sometime last year and I've learned they are *very* hackable. if you want a Linux box with a display, dial, Wi-Fi, and an array of sensors (temp/hum, proximity, motion) for REALLY cheap, check eBay

people complain about printers and there are Absolutely problems with them but many are mitigated by not buying the cheapest one you can find and not connecting it to the internet. like just get a brother laser printer and you're set for the rest of your life
I am soooo tired of people who drive like shit and blatantly violate traffic laws
There is complete industry consensus on this. Every reputable cryptographer on the planet agrees: Signal’s cryptographic protocols are the most secure in class. Period. Just because your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate told you otherwise doesn’t make it true
I love when people approach me asking for help navigating with public transit for the first time. The system can be really daunting to learn and I want to make sure their experience is great. First impressions are important! It’s easy to give up when you’re frustrated and can just drive instead.
Every once in a while I remember you can get soup from the grocery store deli and that’s all I eat for like a week
woah, King County Metro is reporting occupancy in their GTFS-RT data now. I can't speak to its accuracy yet, but it's cool they added it
they published 2,118 RFCs before going "we should define what 'should' means"
Some heroes don't wear capes
just saw a video of a guy running after a bus he missed and then another guy passing by in a cargo bike told him to hop in the front basket and the they passed the bus and the cyclist dropped the dude at the next stop 😭😭😭 www.instagram.com/reel/DXzdVAX...
If you liked my world cup transit maps, you're in luck! They're available in paper copies! Look for them out and about!
If you really cared about the trees you’d be advocating for mass transit and denser housing
Riley O'Neil, 35, was riding his bike Friday afternoon when he was hit with a car door and sent into traffic where another vehicle hit him. He is at least the third cyclist killed by a driver this year.

I wish you could add custom layers in Apple Maps that carried over to any app using MapKit. That would be so incredibly handy

Op-Ed: It’s Time for Vending in Link Stations
Most transit systems across the world have integrated retail within stations. It’s time for Sound Transit to join the party by streamlining its fledgling vendor program.

This person should permanently lose their driver's license. I cannot understand how you can accidentally drive up train tracks that go 35 ft overhead. This could have been horrific if a train collision had occurred.
Today at the Mt. Baker light rail station, a car went North, up the tracks towards the Beacon Hill tunnel. According to a police escort, there were no injuries. #Seattle #BeaconHill #BreakingNews
I love using @transit.app's GO Live Activity to keep tabs on when I should leave, but I always wished it was more glanceable while my phone is on the charger and I'm scrambling to get ready. The solution: make it mirror to my Transit Tracker!
