I recently turned down on talk on "How I always stay employed", because I said that it's a question I'm not comfortable with - largely because anything after 2022 means the answer is "LUCK". We are not solely in a skill based Battle Royale right now.

I have long wanted to write for the excellent Bay Area publishing collective COYOTE...and they let me write something that honestly no other publication would. All hail independent media!!

"i don't have any time" it's okay me neither. it's fine if it takes you months or years. it's fine if you never finish. just give it a shot, you might like it. "it's gonna be bad" that's okay. humans need to make bad art to live.

instead of embracing our freedom from industry norms and restrictions, NA indie comics has chosen to create an Industry 2 where we enforce New Norms And Restrictions. and i strongly believe that this is bad for art. the beauty of indie comics lies in our freedom, not a prestigious fair or publisher.
