Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.

1/5 I believe strongly in more inclusive mainstream schools. I also think many schools are trying to hold together a SEND system that has been underfunded, over-bureaucratised and inconsistently implemented for years. But there is a risk we cannot ignore. ⬇️

An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

I agree with Sam that selection at 14 is a bad idea but the reason it keeps coming up is that there's a genuine problem we're not addressing with what school offers kids at the bottom of the academic distribution

No concrete proposals as yet, so we'll see. Closer links with employers has a lot of potential. But the kind of rhetoric Powell is using (ed isn't preparing kids for modern economy, pen and paper needs to be replaced by collaborations and presentations) usually presages education policy disaster.
Following the debates around edu policy indications with great interest. I share concerns around the potential backward steps of reducing opportunities for poorer students to pursue academic disciplines. "Lively" kids being stereotyped and pushed towards practical routes is both easy and damaging.

Trying something new in September with our KS3 history booklets. Each lesson has been reformatted to start with an immersive story. The section is called 'Entering the Past' and is followed by a longer, more analytical section called 'Understanding the Past' where the main content is delivered.

The interesting thing about school closures during covid (agree with them or not) is they had much less impact on long-term academic outcomes than people expected (me included). But much more long-term impact on mental health and attendance.
As I kept saying before he took over all the "we have no idea what he wants to do" comment was so weird. Few incoming PMs have had a clearer set of priorities.

When you are defeated in the sense of “unable to achieve your goals” but not defeated in the sense of “unable to continue military operations” then you are perpetually “headed for defeat” until you decide to end it. That’s how you get forever wars.

The corollary of, "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" is "you're rich, so you must be very smart!" Thus, people assume that if powerful, well-compensated CEOs insist that "AI is changing everything," well then, *AI must be changing everything*. 1/

But this is, perhaps, the most ridiculous column so far: "Without minimising the severe downsides…especially on some poorer nations, many in Britain would enjoy the kind of warmer climate predicted by modellers..."
