anecdotally, everyone I know who has managed to get an ADHD diagnosis - all of whom have had to scrape the money together to go privately because the waiting list is 18 years or some shit - have found the diagnosis and the meds generally life-changing. huge improvements in quality of life

I spent the morning working on my Fem!Lizard art piece, then spent the afternoon wondering why my writing progress was moving so slowly. In a discovery novel to only me, it turns out the two creative activities draw from the same bank of energy/fuel and I'd run a little dry.
It's hard to articulate the change in the trans community over the last few years. Before it was like "Man, this is hard, there's so much ignorance out there, but we're making it work, we're making it better, it won't be like this forever. Now it's like "Oh, they want us dead."
