For upper middle class "bullshit email jobs," aka my household which is what I am immediately concerned with in this context, salaries in Europe/UK ARE lower than the US. Net cashflow for the same work is still less even accounting for healthcare/401k etc. It *is* a tradeoff for quality of life!
