Fuck Trump. Fuck ICE. #FreePalestine. Trans rights are human rights.

None of the sometimes reasonable concerns she's raising are actually what MAHA means when they're talking about "corruption". Real corruption: Insurance companies making sure they can kill you to cut costs. MAHA's "corruption": A bunch of baseless fear-mongering about vaccines and trans people.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@ocasio-cortez.house.gov · 2d ago

There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

Its remarkable how an employment appeal trubunal can conclude that being a TERF is "worthy of respect in a democratic society", which basically is every belief except the most totalitarian and extreme, and now they spend their time trying to silence all critics.

I don’t think the Charity Commission would let Amnesty International UK get away with describing any other charity organised around beliefs which are protected in English law as “anti-rights”, nor should it do so.

i got mugged at shotgun point. the cops arrested the wrong guy, hustled me out of court at the hearing when i said ”that’s not the guy,” told me “you didn’t see him,” made me do a lineup at the prison and when i said “that’s the guy i saw in court, still not him” told me “it’s OK, he’s a bad person”

It’s so funny when people are like “sure you’re an abolitionist now but wait until you’re the victim of a property crime.” Buddy, the most useful thing the police have ever done for property crime is put the form you need to submit to your insurance online.

JK got her start nicking from Amnesty International, and getting canned for it. Human rights was too boring so she spent her paid time making up pretend little elves that enjoyed being slaves. Truly a vacuous person.

Always hilarious to me that the true story of JK Rowling's harrowing and #relatable story of writing while unemployed was actually "she was fired from Amnesty International (!!) for writing her dumb novel on company time" m.economictimes.com/magazines/pa...

A Failed Stint At Amnesty International
After graduating in French & Classics from Exter University in 1986, Rowling worked for a while at Amnesty International, doing translation work. However, she found the job tedious and spent a lot of her time, writing stories on the computer “when no one was looking!”

AIPAC and their affiliated organizations such as the United Democracy Project are one of the largest political spenders in the country. They also have an outsized impact on Democratic races because they focus their spending on primaries so that the Democratic Party remains pro-Israel.

Adam Gurri@adamgurri.liberalcurrents.com · 6d ago

Some true things: -AIPAC has spent gobs of money on Stevens -the previous bipartisan consensus on Israel was not of AIPAC’s doing -Since they very recently began actively spending on democratic primaries, they haven’t had a great track record -for example they tried and failed to sink Biss

After Delta State University student Trey Reed was found hanging in a tree last September, attorney Ben Crump vowed to help the family find answers. But nearly a year later, Reed’s family says Crump has not shared the final results of an independent autopsy and hasn't responded to them in 8 months.

Trey Reed’s Family Says Crump Never Shared Final Independent Autopsy Results, Stopped Responding

Nearly a year after Trey Reed died hanging in a tree, his family says attorney Ben Crump still hasn’t shared his independent autopsy.

So, here in Washington state transphobic billionaires are trying to pass IL26-001 and Il26-638. The No Hate in WA State campaign just sent me an email saying in a poll most voters were undecided on the votes...32% voting yes for the former, 43% said to vote yes for the latter. This is extremely bad.

The anti trans crowd was outraged by this study because it included clinicians who actually practice gender affirming care. Yet another systematic review that follows Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Utah, and Louisiana that finds this care is safe and effective with rare regret.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com · 2w ago

1. In an incredible new landmark review, the Health Council of the Netherlands has declared that gender-affirming care for trans youth works, reducing wait times is "morally urgent," and regret is rare. It is the latest of many Euro countries to advance care. Subscribe to support our journalism.

And the government will dare pat themself on the back for “banning” conversion practices when they make schools implement them. What is forcing schools to delegitimise trans children’s identities but conversion. Truly monstrous. This is Starmer’s legacy

The gaslighting in the UK is absurd. My kiddo has been fully included for years. This segregation has a start date, September 1st. It is a 180 of school policy, that they are being forced to follow by Government policy. Yet not one newspaper is mentioning this HUGE change to trans kids' lives.

Just had meeting with kiddo's school. She has been fully supported, treated with full equality & dignity for years. All of that changes from September. Full segregation & humiliation across the board. The school staff cried in the meeting. This will absolutely lead to children's deaths 1/2
