Oh my gosh, getting in touch with the BBB WORKED. PayPal is restoring my account and I should have access to my money again. If you are in the US or deal with the US PayPal and your account is randomly, without warning, and without explanation closed down, file a complaint with the BBB!

I do not know how much of a reach I'll have, but I want to state that anyone making concessions on the itch guidelines regarding adult content - saying that 'well its okay if they ban x as long as its not y' should reconsider. It may be 'unpopular', but this is fictional, and legal, content.

Not someone with call center experience but some customer service experience and: I say this is very likely to be a descalation attempt. Not only because it contradicts what other reps are saying, but because you generally don't give so many unprompted details about the inner workings to a customer

Visa yelled at me when I called to ask some questions about Steam censorship. While I don't have the recording of the call, I still really wanted to share my experience with others. So I re-acted and recreated the Visa call based on my notes. This is NOT a recording. It's a parody/satire/opinion
I wish this was a joke but I got called a rapist today by a visa rep Think I just happen to be a call that pushed the women over Lodge 2 formal complaints after that and spun circles on the 2 calls and was about 25 minutes
Those who've never worked in a call center, this is absolutely proof that the pressure is building. That's things that under normal circumstances never happen without disciplinary action on the employee, so the fact it's happening repeatedly means that management is feeling the strain.
so when i was calling earlier, the mastercard supervisor mentioned something like, 8000 calls that they've gotten over the weekend. Just wanna say keep it up, keep up the good work, i'll continue to do my part. Let's make 2025 the year of not rolling over anymore

Ok I just called Visa since that's my card issuer. 1. Played dumb with frontline customer support ("why can't I buy my friends game on Steam / Itch"). They tried to dump me to email but I escalated to a supervisor. 2. Played smart with the supervisor, and caught them in a lie... 👇
