In 1684, mayor of Amsterdam Nicolas Witsen was gifted a Chinese atlas (Guangyu Tu 廣輿圖, 1555) by Jesuit missionary Philippe Couplet. This atlas is now held at @huisvanhetboek.bsky.social, where I had to pleasure to show it to the visitors of its Vriendendag last Saturday!

From there I was able to delete my account without agreeing.
