first, @maysoonzayid is a friend & the person berating them has also publicly attacked me, so i'm not claiming any sort of removed objectivity here. but i am enough of a public health expert to be baffled by this approach — it is not persuasive, it is not successful.

Martin does great work, and I love this report, but I really dislike this "novel legal technicality" framing. The government has the burden of proof, and they didn't meet it because the speed cameras had a margin of error that put this guy outside the range for which he was charged. That's it.

The first grand jury proceeding in the Broadview Six case began with a *textbook example* of forbidden prosecutorial vouching. Misconduct from the start. Just incredible stuff.

I read these transcripts last night and have to say: many of the grand jurors were very smart and brave in this case, and the prosecutors somehow managed to be both completely unethical and incompetent at the same time.

Over 300 detainees at Delaney Hall signed an S.O.S. letter about the horrid conditions they are facing: rotten food, lack of medical attention, and so much more. Yesterday we went to inspect Delaney and that letter is correct. The solution is closing Delaney and abolishing ICE.

ICE keeps detaining the same US citizen again, and again, and again. He’s fighting back.
