I think Lethal Company should have shipped with only the arachnophobia mode spider. I think an actual spider is way less in keeping with the tone of the game. The better monster is clearly “The word SPIDER with tiny fangs”

saw a post about how fighting games don’t have motion controls so instead they use all the buttons however the perfect fighting game already exists and it only uses two buttons: one for Dive and one for Kick

it is actually impossible for me to imagine a computer game hit Myst levels of popularity these days while also having Myst-level puzzles. Unless it also has a narrator saying “I should try looking at the GREEN BOOK” every 5 seconds

i think one of the biggest underlinings in just how bad the western industry has been about its own legacy is like. myst isnt just an old game. it was final fantasy vii before final fantasy vii. it was that fucking huge.

I heard THE TURN OF THE SCREW was a great story. I read it. I now have the extremely controversial opinion “Henry James wrote very, very bad prose”

quite frankly part of the reason I *want* to use Vim *is* that it's opaque and undiscoverable. I do not want to be presented with options! I want to tell the stupid machine what to do and to have it do the thing!

level 1 GM: i will use this prewritten adventure module level 5 GM: screw that, i am making my own dungeons level 10 GM: i can use this module i played with my other group if i just change every instance of "snake" to "voraciously herbivorous robot"

The basic goal of game design is to do things first as tragedy and then again as a successful iteration that improves towards our core experiential goals but needs to be tweaked further pending playtest results

i used the phrase "subcultural norms of dress" in front of my dad and he said "i don't know what that means" and that's how i learned that "can you imagine ways in which the punk rock subculture might have different norms of dress?" is, apparently, a very funny question
