The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.
i think the only really legitimate policy debate in america is between the far left and center left. i do not recognize conservative policy as a legit alternative.
one of the things with dem focus on electability is it turns so much of the populace into pundits. "well this candidate appeals to middle income suburban moms, and thats what we need to win." its left over from clinton era poll obsession. we need to go back to basics: support who you like.

Regarding the Max Miller horrors: I worked with survivors of sexual assault for most of a decade. Many who experience partner violence are desperate to normalize relations with their abuser to avoid further harm to themselves, and are far more likely to do so if their child is also being assaulted.
