It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!
The real value of social media is being able to post something like "The ass is the father of the legs" and potentially have multiple members of congress see it

I worked at Disney a while ago. Do you know why theme parks are so safe? Because OOSHA reps can walk the track on any ride at any time and any safety violation they see is a $10,000 fine. Each. Theme parks are not safe because the company cares. They're safe because it's cheaper to comply.

The actual harsh truth about MAHA is that it is an anti-vaxx, anti-science, pro-diarrhea conspiracy movement. It cloaks its arguments in abstractions about "big pharma" and "free speech" to generate *the exact op-ed The Atlantic keeps publishing*. Movements like this need to be fought, not placated.

We took care of her; one day I worried she’d gotten lost, but no, she was sleeping in a longbox. She now lives, warm and happy, with a wonderful caretaker in San Francisco.

IMO we shouldn’t have an economic and political system where one unelected guy can get “carried away” and unilaterally cut US social welfare programs, steal everyone’s social security data, and stop the flow of hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid.

Look at every hacking incident where they say the FEDRAMP environment was not affected. That means their regular environment had some pretty basic cybersecurity hygiene failures, because the real thing FEDRAMP brings isn’t better controls per se; it’s making it harder to lie / obfuscate.

All of this, and also, if rich kids are eating the involved rich parents will push for healthier options.

I don’t know how to convince anyone of this, but the hundreds or thousands of words many publications run below the headline aren’t decorative. Often they contain nuance that doesn’t fit into ten words.
