I'm urging the Canadian government to recognize that California doesn’t agree with these tariff wars, to lift these restrictions, and increase consumer options to strengthen both our economies.

Jared Holt@jaredlholt.bsky.social · 2mo agoThe problem is that “I am often scared and angry about social change” does not inherently lend itself to interesting art. You can be as technically skilled as the greats, but art with nothing interesting to say is just a commodity.
The chance of someone saying this and actually doing anything about their listed atrocities is basically zero. They don't care about hypocracy they want the reader to shut up and do nothing

Corey Atad@coreyatad.com · 2mo agoi think, end of the day, the real problem with Bluesky is that most of its users are here *because* they want to be in a bubble. and they can tell themselves that it’s just about not being around Nazis it supporting Musk, and that’s part of it, but also there’s a palpable desire to be ensconced.

He kept this one off Bluesky because he didn't want the pushback of people rightfully pointing out she's an anti-vaxxer who wants to torture LGBTQ+ children with conversion therapy
American journalists are some of the most spineless people alive and, honestly, it's hard to feel we're going to miss anything from mainstream media being dismantled if this is the level of adversarialism that can be mustered against a President that would kill journalists if he could do that

Basically, this guy might not meet the legal conditions to be the CEO, bragged about not bothering to do so, got in trouble for it, told people he would take the actions necessary to meet the legal conditions, and now 5 years later he's inadvertently revealed that he still hasn't bothered
