Highway 37 sees 40,000 car commuters a day who will get an $11 billion taxpayer gift from Caltrans to elevate the freeway to deal with the climate change caused by the cars. BART sees 200,000 commuters a day who have to fight like hell to raise $3.6 billion just to keep the trains running.

What a misleading headline! The bill to "fix" CA-37 is $11 billion, as stated later in the article. $100M is just to widen a portion of a road that is already sinking under the waves. Note you don't need to vote on CA-37. That's because the state will just spend the money. Imagine that for transit!

I have had my SUV (sustainable urban vehicle) for two full years! 🎉🚲🍾I biked 5400 miles across 2700 trips. This works out to just over 2 miles per trip. These things are so much FUN to ride, plus they are tremendously efficient compared to cars and saved us thousands of 💵Here's what I learned: 1/15

For all of these trips, 5400 miles, I used around 77 kWh of electricity. That is slightly more than a single charge for a typical US EV battery, at an electricity cost of around $31 dollars to travel a cumulative distance of Davis to Washington DC and back. 3/15
