Imagery collected by Vantor’s WorldView-3 satellite about 1 day after the anomaly shows that starlink Satellite 35956 is largely intact.  The 12-cm resolution image was collected over Alaska from 241 km away.

Dust outbreak over the Red Sea. This is a classic winter Shamal signature: northerly–northwesterly flow lofts desert #dust from western #Arabia, spreads it over the #RedSea, then advects it southward. The curved plume reflects flow channeling, frictional effects, and mesoscale wind shear over water.

Your pretty picture of the day 😀 🌊with of course many interesting processes! Water rich in suspended sediments is moved around by ocean currents in the Bay of Biscay. I'm curious about the long-range waves seen in the dark region, can't decide if these are oceanic, atmospheric, or an artifact 😅
