Every now and then I am reminded just how awful Fox News is. Being on the farm the past few days, it’s been nonstop trans panic, Islamophobia, and trying to connect the DSA to trans folks and Muslims. And also the old COMMUNISM ZOMG canard. Non. Stop.

I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.
I kinda felt bad taking Dad through the “how to spot generative AI on the old-timey country music videos on YouTube” process yesterday, but it was necessary.

I’m going to say something that is intemperate and possibly a little classist: People should actually put on decent clothing for weddings and funerals. (I actually feel the same about church; I don’t wear a tie because I sing, but if I’m just attending I’m at least wearing a collared shirt/tie.)

I’m astonished by the ability of my fellow humans to forget the events we all just lived through. Folks remember the masks and the remote school. The million US dead are rarely mentioned. Folks, we lived through a plague.
