I think it's time to recognize that if you subscribe to The Athletic and share their stuff, you are supporting a larger framework that absolutely demands bigotry be treated with some level of decorum. It's not quite the Harry Potter fan dilemma, but it's not far off from it.

Namely, that trans people are not hypothetical thought experiments. They are real people who are being genocided by our government & any coverage that doesn't center that reality misses the mark.

As a recovering alcoholic, I don’t think I would trust taking a pill to help me drink less. I’ve started seeing commercials for these pills and they’re odd. I, personally, had to just quit and it was the best decision I have ever made.

My stepdaughter is planning a “girl’s day” for she and I tomorrow which will consist of getting her Starbucks, taking her shopping for school clothes, then taking her to lunch wherever she wants. I get no say in this and am really looking forward to it.
I haven’t done this in a few years, but due to budget cuts I wasn’t able to order any new supplies for my classroom, so I am sharing my Amazon wishlist. I teach in a self-contained ID classroom for kids with severe disabilities. Even just sharing this would mean a lot to me. Thanks!
