Creative chills are a phenomenon I'd like to understand better. I'm at the gym and had an amazing plot point for my WIP book pop into my head. Instant chills, arm hairs on end, even while I'm there melting on the treadmill. Why?!

Getting a lot of eyeballs at the moment, so, if you’ve also announced an indie game recently, reply here and show off your wares with a trailer. If you’re reading this later, go checkout these games and get them wishlisted (you know, just like you’ve already wishlisted Vampirium: 1997)

Been working on this as part of my Levelling The Playing Field program for a while, as part of a mission of creating fairer access to knowledge. Eight 101 video courses for independent game dev, €40 each, available soon. Sign up for the launch announcement & newsletter at courses.ramiismail.com

This is really interesting food for thought, creating an approximation of the full game before diving deep into any part of it. I'd love to give this a go with one of my solo projects

have been pondering on the horizontal slice (vs. vertical slice) since reading sam's post and replies last week. coincidentally, we're implementing this at work off of @joewintergreen.com 's advice and knowledge of half-life 2 having a big linear dev hallway in a leaked build with placeholder beats

If you're games industry and following some folks already, reply with who you are and what you do, and then re-post this or whatever it's called. Let's try and find each other on this new place

In this age of review embargoes lifting at the last possible second, Mewgenics reviews coming out releasing the week before completely threw me. I'd almost forgotten early reviews could happen

The place we need to get people to, on both sides of the Atlantic, is immigration enforcement is not a priority. It should rank far below littering on our priorities as a society. We're talking about paperwork here.

Only tangentially related to this, but for a long time I refused to call Twitter "X" because it felt like Musk trying to claim credit for someone else's homework. But the Twitter I knew is dead and buried, and new built-in features are used to abuse. So now I call it X

A few people have come at me for “still paying to subscribe to X” even after making this video, since I’m still verified on there. It seems a lot of people didn’t know this: Twitter ‘gifted’ verification to a number of people, even after making a big deal out of verification being FOR THE PEOPLE.

I'd been in a writing rut this year, feeling like I'm treading water with my current book. So, for the first time, I tried a November writing challenge ( #WriteOne since #NaNoWriMo is dead). 800 words per day writing something new, continued into December. Just hit 32,000 words and loving it.
