I get the urge to try and argue from a common ground, But police shouldn't kill guilty people, either. Guilty people shouldn't die from abuse or neglect in jail, either. Nobody deserves to be sexually assaulted, even in prison, even if convicted. Obviously. We can't cede that, even rhetorically.

Gen AI directly affects creators. I know it's tempting to make a quick meme, or use it to construct an image to fit the moment. But it's ruining artists' lives, and all it can do is mash regurgitated and stolen creations together. Please think about it before you generate, you're killing us.

(1/X) I would argue that the vast majority of all commentary is essentially pro-Trump. I don't mean pro-Trump in the sense of liking Trump, I mean it in the sense of them not holding him to the anything close to the same standards as Democratic politicians....

Yes! You can never appease right wing outrage merchants because they MUST sell grievance. It’s why fascism is self-defeating, it will always make an enemy. This is why we should stop seeking to homogenize art and instead make it queerer, more BIPOC, more feminine & just more perspectives generally.

It really is substantially more likely that some guy wanted to shoot some people (or one man in particular) than that the government staged a false flag attack. Running towards conspiracy thinking is naive and you should be embarrassed. Is it possible? Sure. Is it likely? No.

An interesting thought I had; as someone who often does academic writing and citations, I wonder what YouTube's ability to let you test multiple titles for a video, and even change it years later, does for our ability to actual look up resources when a video is cited in a written work.
