Somehow, the recent run of cyber attacks on water utilities in the Midwest (some of which President Trump blamed on Minnesota governor Tim Walz) did not come up at all in the panels featuring White House cybersecurity advisor Sean Cairncross and other administration officials that opened Black Hat.
To expand on Zitron's thesis as I heard it (had to moderate my own panel first): He says that organizational reactions to usage-based billing shows that people's token budgets max out well below the level needed to pay for all the money going into data center and compute, making a bust inevitable.

Man, MTV. It's weird to think it only ever existed in it's purest, most influential form for only about a decade, but I loved Remote Control, the first 4 seasons of The Real World, Liquid Television, and their heavy metal and rap nights were great windows into other facets of pop culture:

It is an unprecedented attack by an American state on the religious liberty of the Catholic Church.
There are a lot of people replying to and reposting this who aren’t bothering to read the article. Trump isn’t quoted in the article, the article specifically states the Federal Government is helping, and the article also states that other states are being attacked. Just a tremendously bad take.

Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.
