“it’s reasonable to ask questions about trans girls in sports” was always intended to mainstream transphobia. It’s absurd that people fell for it. Democrats are constantly letting oppressors set the terms of debate instead of just saying “no, fuck you.”
I cannot remember a summer as beautiful, weather-wise, as this one has been. I've lived here in the general area all my life, and generally we get 2-3 months of actual swampy, high-humidity, high-heat summers. This has been breezy, relatively cool, with gorgeous thunderstorms here & there.
This right here is exactly why Dems *won't* win back working class voters - because so-called "progressive" action is exactly what would give those voters everything they want & need. It's WILD to me how much resistance Dems put up on this, *especially* after watching how Mamdani has been moving.

Friends who do 3D printing: Has anyone/could anyone print me a 2-level altoids tin watercolors insert, where a 3/4 lower layer is just hexagons for paint wells from wall to wall, and the 1/4 upper layer is a multi-well mixing surface with 3 or more mixing wells? (Maybe even multi-well bee shape?)

That is precisely why I never bought the redemption angle on Platner; he didn't actually do anything to redeem himself. He just kinda mumbled denials with annoyance between nondescript announcements that he'd changed.

Once upon a time Google was literally the most amazing information retrieval system I have seen in my life. It was quick and returned primary sources to read on almost any subject. It was better than magic. It makes me sick to see what they've done to that resource.

this is the goal, man. to elect people who you think have the right ideas and who you think want to do good, but also to be willing to say "HEY WHAT THE FUCK" when they do something that is not what was promised! there are no crockpot politicians! we can't set it & forget it ever again!
