You have to care about kids who aren't "yours." You live in a society, and that society extends to children. You have to fight for trans kids, even if your child isn't trans. You have to care about vaccinations and disability even if you're childless. They aren't property.

This has become one of my core beliefs as a communist and an anarchist. I had a bad childhood. So did my only sibling. So did my friends. My affinity groups are autistic trans people. Anyone who does the "I didn't have it easy, and neither should you" thing is fundamentally corrosive to society.
