While getting my psychology degree, one of the classes I took was Psychology of Terrorism. Know which terrorist organizations we talked about the most? The United States police system and the Israeli military. That was over 15 years ago (and it’s been happening longer). We need to break the cycle.

I constantly ruminate about embarrassing moments, but I always stop myself at "I hate myself." Because I don't. In fact I think I'm pretty cool sometimes. I have flaws, that doesn't make me a shitty person. There are very shitty people in the world and I'm most definitely not one of them.
I've been trying to convince myself take better care "for my mental health" but that sounds like an abstract idea that won't make me want to. Then I thought "do it for yourself--you're a person, do it for you." And I defiantly thought "I'm not a good enough reason." I instantly hated that thought 😬

Sometimes I really wonder if I'm easily overstimulated or reasonably overwhelmed by the never-ending noise pollution happening specifically in my neighborhood 🫠
not sure if some people understand that part of what makes creating so rewarding is the fact that it *is* hard. It doesn’t matter if you’re been painting or writing for 80 years— every piece will have problems that need solving, and few things feel better than figuring it out.
