HHS claims it hasn't abandoned the rule cutting Medicaid from hospitals that provide gender-affirming care to trans youth. Its own calendar shows the rule effectively shelved, with finalization set for Dec. 2028. That's the month the proposal expires by law. The proposed rule has an expiration date.

We need the equivalent of protected bike lanes for the Internet, which notably are not about preventing a class of users from reaching their destination, but about protecting users from other users of the infrastructure which has been intentionally built to facilitate life-threatening behavior.
