I'm an MA Literary Studies student and amateur guitarist :) Love transnational fiction, board games, and a good mug of tea

The battery for my bluetooth mouse ran out, so I'm using my grandfather's old wired one instead. Why aren't more things wired nowadays? This is vastly more convenient

It's always strangely validating when I read a source that cites something I've already read. Makes me feel like I might be on track with this thesis in some way

This is probably silly, but every now and then I stop and look at things like viaducts, shopping carts, chickens eating corn, or cats rolling there and back in sunlight and think how incredibly unlikely all of this is in the grand scheme of things. We could've been a barren ball of rock.

GEORGE LUCAS: if c-3po were real, he could have made the star wars movies by himself, and they would have been better than the movies i made. [tears in eyes] i wish he had made them. i wish he had. [stops for a moment] not the beeping one though. never the beeping one. he has a deadly poison in him.

Ok I have an idea. You ask me a question. Any question you like. I chug 500 mL of water and then tell you you’re very pretty before I make up a random answer, untethered from reality. In return you give me a billion dollars AND I’ll come to your house and leave the fridge door open.

english isn't for cowards. if you're not saying 'torpify,' that's a skill issue. there's no Académie Française telling you what to do. if you try to type 'pallific' and freak out when you see a little red underline, maybe you're not ready to roll with the big dogs.

If the world is chaotic, collapsing, emerging, reordering, regenerating, recombinant, fractal, with most of the deep stuff underground or loop upon loop of feedback why would you expect your life or your work to be tidy and orderly. Hmm?
