These gloves don't cause neuromuscular incapacitation the way that a taser does. In fact, they only work when applied directly to bare skin. These aren't made for apprehending anyone. These have one and only one use: causing extreme pain to already-restrained captives. In plain language: torture.

Zero surprise that these are explicitly designed to cause pain without leaving a mark, not to incapacitate. Yes, we're spending $20M to buy ICE agents torture devices.

this is all so fucking instructive if they would take a step back and learn something. you cannot let this happen ever again. when you are weak and crumbling, you cannot revive your prospects by painting everything gold and declaring a victorious golden age. it makes it look even weaker and rotted

theres nothing we can do. we can nuke them, or we can invade. that's it. neither is doable. we cant safely lob munitions at them anymore because were running out of that. i think pretty soon if we even want to bomb them we're going to have to fly planes over them and we don't have the guts for that

the reactionaries sort of thought you could just thrust your chest out and slap a bunch of paint and memes on things and recover national pride and a lost era of white male triumph or whatever. how's your national pride now. are you proud yet. are you feeling strong

"Sorry to bust anyone’s bubble, but James Talarico is good at this. He is a former public school teacher with a master’s in education policy. He is a Presbyterian seminary graduate who speaks the language of faith fluently (and heretically) which is not something Texas Democrats have been able todo"
