love living in a timeline where a notable callout for a CDC director is “she supports science”

I use alternate history and fake maps to talk about real history. Hosted by Matt Mitrovich (he/him). Proud Chicagoan. Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/thealternatehistorian Email: ahwupdate at gmail dot com
“Morocco is a colony of Israel.” People really will just say anything on this app as long as it supports the highest political principle of “Israel evil.”
If Moroccan people had any say in the situation I would agree with you but as a Israel and United States colony they don’t. They just do as their masters tell them to do.
I genuinely enjoy how much work this premise takes to pull off, and somehow, it's all gone into the lore. A tattoo that blinks and glows and calls the cops on you. ALL IMPLEMENTED FULLY IN THREE YEARS

Also, the people around here who call themselves Democrats but incessantly post shit like “Communist DSA Nazi scumbags” might as well be Republicans, so how about we put a cork in that?
And I think it's notable that the actual candidates recognize this, know that the factions have far more in common than separates them, and are quickly moving to mend fences and look toward winning in November.
The Boeing IMIS was a 60s design for a crewed Mars landing. It used five NERVA nuclear rocket stages that were launched separately and attached together in orbit. Three stages were used to leave Earth orbit, one for the Mars orbital insertion, and one to send the ship home.
I love that the image strongly suggests that at some point in their chequered history Bilbo and Gollum solved crimes together, and that Bilbo was the maverick and Gollum did things by the book.
Oh no, he's hot! https://kotaku.com/the-hobbit-magic-the-gathering-bilbo-baggins-2000721931
the real unfunny timeline to think about is Tucker/Kent, Vance/Rubio, and Ossoff where the election ends up heading to the house

This reads like the porn parody for The Purge.

I can't believe be gay, do crimes is legal for this movie.

This isn't happening and Carlson has already laid the groundwork for supporting Vance by trying to propagandize his low performing listeners into thinking Vance is not at fault for this administrations actions with Israel and Iran.

Taking my time to really listen and learn from the very valid concerns of the MAHA movement:
we should hear MAHA out about this they might be onto something
Interesting seeing all of the outright hostility to the Uncommitted Movement on this site, despite people ranging from actual Democratic primary voters to the person leading in polls to be the 2028 presidential candidate seemingly being OK with them.
The co-founder of the 2024 National Uncommitted Movement, Abbas Alawieh, decisively won his primary to become a State Senator in Michigan. Abbas was endorsed by both Bernie Sanders and Gretchen Whitmer. Abbas Alawieh also privately met with former VP Kamala Harris last month upon her request.
this is legitimately a huge problem that i don’t know how they will resolve, either from an executive or legislative standpoint, and it’s going to be the case across a lot more than just defense
I fundamentally do not know how to square the politics whereby Democrats will essentially have to tell the American people that because they (the voters) made an extremely stupid decision, they need to lower their expectations substantially for the foreseeable future, but here we are.
For federal elections, splitting the GOP into two competing crank Nazi movements would be great for Democrats. At the state/local level, however, we'd be condemning large portions of the South and Midwest to governance by Crossfit George Wallace's.
I don’t think Americans know what it’s like to lose lose a war. Yes sure the US lost in Vietnam but obviously the costs were way bigger for uh the Vietnamese
Maybe they will have their staff wear silver shirts.
This is probably what the party will be called, which is still quite funny.
For a political party that openly supports Max Miller, this tracks
Every single Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota (including Mike Lindell!) makes clear that if Trump tried another Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities, they would support his efforts to brutalize residents

It's one thing to have bad opinions on here, whatever, but I really don't want to hear about how antisemitic al-Sayed is from people paying the world's richest Nazi so they have extra characters to tweet about it
“Democratic candidate X is going to deservedly lose in November because (right wing talking point)” is a pretty bad thing to say pre-primary but it’s immensely dumb and toxic to say post-primary
Please call it the Freedom Party. Don't Google it first, just do it.

this is not at all clear and is a poisonous sentiment
It's pretty clear that, for centrist/establishment Dems, "Blue No Matter Who" applies only to progressive voters whose preferred candidate lost The establishment has cooked their brains into thinking winning over moderate GOP voters is a winning strategy
A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…
I'll be disappointed if Stevens wins, but mostly what you should take away from tonight is that the coalition really is divided between factions with lots of genuine support, we can't wish the other side away, and we're all going to have to learn to live with each other if we want to win.
This level of spending actually makes me deeply angry. Let's never do this again in a primary ok
Unfathomable
