The U.S. Attorney believes that a "public rebuke" and an internal review are sufficient for egregious prosecutorial misconduct that put my family through hell. My seven-year-old is still having nightmares and panic attacks related to this case. Justice requires transparency and accountability.

The Heritage Foundation asserts that women never needed sports in the first place. To prove that Title IX has become a tool of “feminist social engineering.” To demonstrate that women don’t need sports and that “clubs, intramurals, and exercise classes” is enough. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...

It was a pleasure spending time at the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Festival in Parma and meeting so many people from the Northeast Ohio Ukrainian community! Ukrainian culture is a distinct part of the fabric of America, and America will always be a friend to Ukraine. Heroyam slava! 🇺🇦
Proud to have the endorsement of Berea Mayor Cyril Kleem. Our campaign, since the beginning, has been about fighting for working families, and I'm proud to have Mayor Kleem's endorsement, as he has a record of fighting for hardworking families in the city of Berea.

“This will determine if the socialist (derogatory) arm of the Democratic Party has any real power” (Three days later) oh well that’s meaningless, obviously they don’t
South Carolina has no state minimum wage. The floor is still $7.25 an hour. Two parents working full time at that wage bring home $30,160 a year combined, before taxes. That is not enough to cover rent, groceries, and childcare. You are not the problem. The wage is. #NewSC #JohnsonSkardon
Hmmm, an interesting argument, but I prefer to re-interpret every election as validating my prior beliefs about electability! 🙃
I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.
Today's Prospect Patriot is Frances Perkins. She saw the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory go ablaze in 1911 and her life changed. "The New Deal was born that day," she said. 22 years later she'd be America's first female cabinet member. prospect.org/2026/08/04/a...

If you have any history of abuse, do not watch the video of that representative being interviewed. I shouldn’t have and I am still amped up hours later. Those of you lucky enough not to speak abuser should, though. The guy is textbook.
Nor do we want to be on Truth Social. I would hate to find a welcome home there. I would hate to be somebody who would be palatable to such a place. We don't go on Truth, because nobody needs bullies. They *do* try to come on Bluesky, because bullies need the rest of us.
The burden is always on us lefties to welcome them, debate them, compromise with them, find middle ground, and generally make them comfortable. It’s totally one directional. No one is calling for Truth Social to make any room for us.
Food should be safe enough that children, elderly, sick, and people with chronic conditions can eat.
When people die and the media says they had “pre-existing conditions”… they’re pacifying the public. Anyone could die from Cyclosporiasis, but they want you to believe it can’t happen to you. It can only happen to the weak, the disabled, the elderly. The expendable people. Eugenics.
Of course they will not require the boys to be molested in this way before being able to play sports. This is going to keep girls from wanting to play sports, which is exactly what they want.
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

New Yorkers had to subsidize the $117 million that the NYPD paid out for misconduct lawsuits in 2025 alone, even though most of them were never personally abused by a cop. Where's your worried op-ed on that one?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
If ya’ll knew the sinfully high prices these yahoo publishers charge libraries for ebooks…and eaudio is worse! and yes its true we gotta buy them again every 24 months. 💀🫠
Book 1 is $59.99 went out 4 times. Cost per circ $14.99 Book 2 is $59.99 went out 4 times. Cost per circ $14.99 I'm not buying book 3. If the cost per circ was $5 or $3, I wouldn't mind. But that is WAY too high, especially for a thing that expires after 2 yrs.
Bingo. What most abusers want ( most do tech should be filtered through that lens ) Is control . Pundits hate the control being had by anyone but them . Even honoring that framing pisses me off Because you can’t build from entitlement
Bluesky's nuclear block supports a culture of consent. Each user can completely prevent another user from having any access to them on this site. Right wing harassers on X hate consent. They hate being told "no." They hate not being able to force their posts onto others and target others.

I don't really have an objection to the CEO saying Bluesky is open to all; it's kind of his job to do that. But as others have pointed out, the design of the site means it's harder for trolls/bots/chuds *and also* influencers/hypebeasts to get traction. The "bubble" here is actually normal humans.
