Wilmington / Coastal NC: This beautiful boy showed up at our house a few weeks ago very skinny, so we've been feeding him. He is super affectionate and has the best personality. Clearly he used to be an indoor cat and he loves people. Would love to find him a home. DM or contact link in bio.

I mean this sincerely: I think pro Israel people really need to begin internalizing that this is not a fringe opinion anymore and in fact is very statistically likely to be the average view of any brown Democratic candidate for office or any candidate under the age of 50
1 3 2 I love coffee, toast, and steak; tried them many different ways, and those are hands down my favorite.

gods, this runs through my mind all the time. Listening to mid and upper management in my white collar work place gush about AI thinking “oh none of you have had a cousin experience a substance addiction so acute they steal tools to sell, or seen an aunt sink their pension into MLM schemes”.
At some point we are going to have to reckon with what percentage of the Thought Leadership we get from this class of people is just drug addiction. Either a lot of credulous reporters have never listened to someone tooted out of their mind go on a monologue or they're afraid to call it out.
Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All. Michigan... We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
Today everyone — EVERYONE — should take a moment and read Ray Bradbury's four-page short story from 1950.
Today is the day the story There Will Come Soft Rain is set. An amazing and heartbreaking work of fiction for our modern age. Read it here:
Bay Area friends: would you consider opening your home to these two cuddly cats? A friend found them behind a gas station. Their sibling, a black cat, got adopted, but it appears no one likes orange cats. They are being kept in a bathroom for the time being and need a home.
A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?
So the thing is, at this point anti-vaccination activism is functionally manslaughter with extra steps, often targeting children. For my part I don’t see a path towards common ground with folks whose vision of the future is a potter’s field with small graves.
There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.
A local farm friend with amazing lines near me had a customer back out of a huge egg order so you know what that means: IMPULSE HATCHING! Watch this page for chicks hatching around 8-20! I’ll only keep a few so if you are in Portland I’ll have chicks!
For the full effect imagine an adult woman of robust build with the slightly harried air of a person of good intent put in a Situation sayin the post. Anyway pick up the book, all of ursula vernon’s stuff I’ve read has been good and thrillin so far.

Any of my UK folks looking to do a bit of gardening for a good cause?
Anyone in Norwich UK whose handle I might recognise wanna do a little gardening? My struggle is I'm one guy with an energy limiting condition, but if a bunch of people did a tiny bit like waved a strimmer around for 10 minutes or pulled a dozen weeds, we could get it fixed quick.

90% of the time if there are no lyrics in a piece of music I am bored. doesnt have to be in a language I understand but I need humans singing words to hold my attention. occasional exceptions are a cool song by some artist I saw here and Jacinthe’s battle theme from pokemon legends ZA.
Post your hottest music take Bolero is not too repetitive
People say Microsoft Excel is unintuitive, but I disagree. Excel does what I expect at least 4-Mar of the time.
New York City friends! The LES cat cafe Koneko is closing tomorrow and needs urgent help rehoming some kitties. This place was very cute and took good care of their cats. Tell cat curious NYC friends that there are kitties that need some homes. www.instagram.com/p/DbbfOxcGu1V/
A strip done in collaboration with the @humanartistry.bsky.social , starring Question Hound as he gets some unwanted help for a comic he’s working on:
If we’re going back 100 years it’s all great-grandfathers. The answers are “wandering criminal, subsistence farmer, town criminal, clerk” for paternal/paternal, paternal/maternal, maternal/paternal, and maternal/maternal of them respectively. I would easily beat all of them at their jobs.
Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?
Just gonna add that someone gave me flowers exactly once in my entire life & I still think about it all the time. A hand-gathered little bunch of wildflowers she wrapped in newspaper and handed me as I stepped off the plane and that’s a forever-level bright memory. Consider for the men in your life!
A thing I learned a while back that blew my mind is that men almost never receive compliments, especially cishet men. Giving a man a compliment will literally make their year

The other day at the grocery store I told a woman I loved her cute green shoes, which matched her cute green top, and her whole face lit up and she told me the story of how she bought them Giving another woman a compliment is a great way to get a little serotonin boost btw
I liked this book also! the sequel is out now!
13. The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Fantasy murder mystery that (deservedly) won Hugo and World Fantasy Awards for best novel. Great characters and a world that feels fresh and original. Nice anti-oligarchic theme, too! Oh and there's a map at the front 👍👍
Had to take Onion to the emergency vet this morning. The docs say he's doing okay, fingers crossed it's nothing serious! I feel bad asking for help, but the vet bill is over $900. If you're able to help out at all I'd greatly appreciate it 🩷🧅 Paypal is jeeyon.shim@gmail.com, Venmo is Jeeyon-Shim

The sword dangling over my head had lowered a touch over night. Still not close enough that I was freaking out but I could sense its movement.
