if your art looks bad it's because of your brushes. you don't have nearly enough. download every brush pack you see ever and Never practice fundamentals

It’s so exhausting watching people shitting and pissing themselves over folks being trans. It’s so fucking miserably pathetic. What a loathsome, pitiful, disgusting way to live that you’d dedicate a finite resource (time) to having unending tantrums and hate fits over someone being trans.

We report about the many events that occurred in the space of a few seconds: it started raining just as the clouds parted in another corner of the sky. A rainbow somehow appeared. Either of these three events startled the birds enough that they all flew away at the same time.

Digital painting of a countryside landscape: the sky is dark and cloudy, but part of it is clear, bright blue. It is sunny, and the shadows are long. There is a road between two fields of dry, tall grass; a flurry of black and white birds are taking off in front of a rainbow. In the distance, rows of trees are brightly lit, orange, green and brown.

We report: it is noon, a brisk day. It feels chilly in the shade, and warm in the sunshine, no transition between the two situations. We constantly mean to remove, and put our jacket back on, and then maybe add a scarf on top, but it feels slightly pointless.

Digital painting of a bright blue sky, with a series of tall, very voluminous, white clouds rising. There is a band of long grey clouds at the very bottom of the frame.

wanting to join into werewolf posting but.. frustrated by designs which were just ripped anthro wolves, i designed my ideal werewolf a few years back and he was so perfect to me that i became satisfied (anathema to an artist) and stopped drawing werewolves after him

A digital collage of different line drawings of a werewolf character. He is skinny, quadrupedal and mostly naked aside from a mane of curly hair around his head and neck. He has human hands and his right leg has been amputated below the knee. His face is long with an upturned snout and he has small round human ears. Because the artist kept forgetting to draw it, he has a phalloplasty scar in only a few drawings.Anatomical diagrams of the same werewolf in profile with his mouth open and closed. Different line layers show muscle and bone beneath the skin. His jaw opens at an almost 90 degree angle and he has a scrubby beard and moustache. More line drawings of the same character in different poses. In one picture his head has been shaved bald. In another he is fluffed up like a poodle in a show cut. Some more complicated coloured drawings of the werewolf collaged together including a faux trailcam picture of him turned away but looking back over his shoulder, and an illustration of him surrounded by translucent serpent coils, with arrows poking from his back.

The infamous "WET YOURSELF..." Super Mario Sunshine print ad is often posted online without context, leading many to believe it is fake or fan-made. However, it is very much real, appearing on page 130 of issue 119 of the British Nintendo Official Magazine.

Héloïse might have made short work of the mantis but for its mesmeric dance. 'Avaunt, hen, and harm me not!' Cried the fae creature. 'For I am the Sibyl of the Shrub, and it shall go ill for thee!' #Boktober Hen and Mantis. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.

Silhouette illustration primarily in black ink of a mantis perching on a small, sparse shrub, wings outspread, gesticulating at a bemused hen standing before it in the grass. The piece is very small and intricate. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache.

The mantis is called the 'rice-pounding grasshopper' in Thailand (ตั๊กแตนตำข้าว), from the motion of its raptorial forelegs resembling the traditional manner of pounding rice to remove the husks. This one was drawn with this very brush.

Detail from a silhouette drawing in black ink of a mantis perching on a small, sparse shrub. Photographed with a penny and the fine traditional Chinese brush it was drawn with, the detail is tiny and intricate. The mantis can fit onto the penny itself.

We report: on the long tail of this week’s storm, the wind still has big teeth. It is raking the sea, throwing sea foam into the air. When there is a lull in the weather, the smell of the ocean is overwhelming; the storm must have disturbed some creatures of the abyss.

Digital painting of a stormy ocean: the light is a little yellow, coming through a jumble of dark grey clouds. The sea is wild, grey-blue, the sea foam a pale blue in the dim light.

Hello #PortfolioDay! Time for a reintroduction! I'm an animal artist from Northern Norway, usually found drawing wildlife (or pets, or animal characters) or out hiking. I also make (free) tutorials/booklets, and am working on a book on how to draw felines. Open for art questions ♥️

We report: as the sky is slowly clearing up at nightfall, dusk is dragging on over the hour (one step forward and two steps back). In the east, the sky is already completely dark, still wrapped up in clouds. It is difficult to tell, but it might also still be raining there.

Digital painting of a dusk sky: a gradient of dark to light blue, with rows of clouds spread out across the frame. Beneath the sky, a wet road in the countryside is reflecting the blue light. Headlights are lighting up part of the road the grass from outside the frame.
