In light of these new allegations about illegal funding, it is my opinion that Nigel Farage should step down as MP for Clacton. He should then stand again in the by-election and let the people of Clacton decide if he’s guilty or not of breaking electoral law. 😉

The compelling, hard hitting Channel 4 sting revealing Reform's corruption throws Chris Mason's recent Farage interview dripping in dribbling sycophancy into even more miserable relief....
Oh dear. So, despite Farage insisting they’ve done nothing wrong, the lovely Dan Jukes and James Orr have both stepped down… for now. Farage… they reported to you.. off you go. What a shitshow of guilty, corrupt, traitorous, greedy pisstakers. They must never ever get their hands on power.
The BBC has goven Farage a platform to air his vile views for over a decade, if they don't cover the Channel 4 expose in full they can give up all pretence of being an impartial broadcaster.
Nigel Farage resigns when he shouldn't, but doesn't resign when he should.
With all respect to the BBC, the reason this story "matters" is not about whether it distracts from Reform's conference. It "matters" because it is important our leaders are not conspiring to break the law.
An episode of simultaneous untruthfulness not only from the Reform Party, but also from a RW pollster, a RW newspaper, and an RW academic says nothing good about the populist right in the UK
Going to be some more questions for buddy tonight, eh. Let's see what Cambridge says about this. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

It remains striking that Cambridge University – which has rightly found itself subject to immense scrutiny in recent days over its academic appointments process – did not answer any of Byline Times' questions re Cambridge Professor James Orr, Reform's Head of Policy, and his activities there. Why?
"If there there was a window it was not broken, but it if was broken it was not by Nigel Farage's ball, but if it was his ball he certainly did not kick it, and if he did kick it, it was an accident and he knew nothing about it" said a Reform spokesperson.
Gloria Steinem. My God, what a loss. 💔 A full life dedicated to women's rights. Her fingerprints across so many victories. She is needed now more than ever and we must do everything we can to continue her legacy. I could never read the dedication of her memoir without weeping. I mean, oooof 😭

As Chair of the London PLP, I have written to Reform Chairman Lee Anderson on behalf of London Labour MPs following Zia Yusuf’s vile and racist attack on Cllr Sagal Abdi-Wali. He must retract his remarks and apologise. There is no place for racism in our politics.

Reform appear to be going full-on anti LGBTQ+. One of their council leaders is trying to get books banned from libraries - he’ll fail - the UK isn’t the US. And now Christian Nationalist MP Danny Kruger has written an essay saying society will fail if we don’t go back to “traditional” families.
Amongst other things this reveals the dishonesty of the pretence that hostility to immigrants is based on a concern about 'integration'.
Zia Yusuf has tweeted this about the leader of Camden Council, Sagal Abdi-Wali, who has lived in Camden for over 35 years, after arriving as a child refugee in the early 1990s. (Nadhim Zahawi, born in Baghdad to an Iraqi Kurdish family, came to the UK as an 11 year old:should be asked about this)
Oh God I’m bored with the Bayeux tapestry already. Since it was a mandatory stop on every school trip to France we ever did I think I must’ve seen it about six times.
The parties of the Likud, "Jewish Power", Religious Zionism, and the new "People of Israel" party are all running on an explicit, unabashed platform of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza as the "solution". Rabbi Kahane's racist legacy is the Israeli government's policy.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so fucking terrifying that now that we’ve unleashed AI on the world we discover that it might not be a force for good. A little late in the day, unfortunately.
I mean… this is a painful watch. Here we are, Brexit Britain, in our not-so-splendid isolation, being battered on trade, less secure, less reliable, less trusted… just so much less… Canada wants in and we still can’t admit what arrogant, clueless fools we were for throwing it all away.

The problem with commentators reacting to the Jason Arday tragedy by sternly pointing out "people need to reflect on their own role in this" is that the people who really do need to reflect on their own role in this, never reflect on anything.
