1) that Miller’s ex wife was nice to him, cooked him dinner, and continued about her life isn't evidence of disingenuousness. It’s pretty classic behavior for someone who has experienced DV (and whose abuser still has regular access to their child) 2) if he was going for non-menacing, he failed

THREAD. 3 & 1/4 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he'd been living, in rural Cornwall, & decided he wanted to live with us instead. We decided to call him Jim. This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st 2022

As you can see here, right from the very first day he entered our house, Jim found great difficulty in getting settled and making the environment his own.

Respectfully, the "red" states have already done this to themselves (see the refusal to expand Medicaid and the >50% decline in SNAP recipiency in AZ), so I'm not sure a dem response to this effect would have any effect except to immiserate an already marginalized segment of the population.

Since our cultural literacy is at an all-time low we have to ban Bad Guys With Complex Backstories Who Get Redeemed In The Sequel & go back to guys who hand clasp & laugh maniacally & in moments of peak hubris slip & fall into pits until people can recognize when guys are bad in real life again.

some thoughts on writing from a doofus: - start with ibuprofen - no. start with 10-12 hours of sleep - your brain is escaping and sprinting toward the sea. YOU MUST GET IT OUT OF THE SEA - no it’s gone. - open your manuscript 1 time per day and stare into it. brain is still gone.
