Any French-speaking policy nerds willing to help me with a search of Quebec's Journal des débats? 🥺 I'm trying to find the debates that led to a certain regulation change, but I don't think I'm using the right search terms to get there…

My summer is getting full, but I still have room in the fall and winter! I edit nonfiction, TTRPGs, and websites, and index just about everything. #editor #indexer #LookingForWork

I'd like to take on more projects this summer and fall. If you need an #editor or #indexer, I'm happy to help! And if my schedule fills up or I'm not the right person, I have a broad network of editors and indexers that I will happily refer you to. #freelancer #TTRPGs #AcademicSky

👋 Seeking connections w. other #editors on here. Doesn't matter where you live—I'd love to meet you! I'm a (mostly) developmental/structural editor, specializing in memoir but will also edit general fiction, non-fiction (ref. & self-help), and historical fiction. Based on PEI 🇨🇦

I know Montréal is hockey-crazed for the Habs right now. But there needs to be a little more love for the champion Montreal Victoire. Best sweaters/logo in hockey. Marie-Phillippe Poulin is must watch and Abby Roque is badass.

I had a tile delivery dropped off yesterday, and while I was signing the little electronic scanner, I said "I bet this was faster with paper." And the delivery guy told me that he could do double the deliveries when they were using paper.

This is why I think it's so important to be vocal about not using AI. It's also why I think those of us who mask and/or have never had Covid-19 need to be vocal about that, too. There's a general sense of resignation these days borne from propaganda that says "Just accept it. Everyone else has."

Oh also interesting: students report that they think we use AI to write lectures and books and articles. Some of them already think this is just a dance of meaningless nothing. I find this endlessly heartbreaking.

Anyone know someone who does family-history research professionally? I'm looking for someone to track down some people from the 1940s: expertise in UK/German post-war field. Please do cross-post.

If anyone's ever looking for data entry help, I've got two people on my team that are really good at it and fast as heck. And, in general, I've managed enough projects to have a list of solid recommendations for data entry, editing, indexing, design, alt text, plain language, production, etc.

Human rights of trans people are under attack by governments and cruel people. It's a cause too often forgotten, but needs more attention. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these pieces will go to our local gender affirming closet (approximately 30% of price). Please share to help!

I make raku pottery. Which means clay, fire, smoke . . . and a little bit of chaos and magic.✨ These are my newest vessels from the flames. 🔥 If you feel like helping them find their people, a like or share means so much.🙏 Wishing you joy in the chaos 💙

A 6 image montage of raku pottery work by Alchemy. On the top left is a stout vase with reds, blues and violets. To the right is a teardrop shaped piece in green and red with bubbles. To the far right is a copper coloured vase in a classic shape with greys and browns and glaze peeling.

On the bottom row is a bulbous turquoise vase with raku cracks and flecks of gold. In the centre is a gazing orb in coppers, silvers and blues on a pedestal. On the bottom right is a turquoise vase with cracking and bubbles in a classic shape.
